REPORTS TO: Manager of Events and Promotions, Supervisor, Events and Promotions
SUPERVISES: N/A
WORKING HOURS:
This is an hourly position. The incumbent is expected to work the necessary hours to meet the needs of a 24 hour establishment.
SUMMARY:
The Events and Promotions Coordinator provides support to execute all Casino promotions, special events, onsite and offsite, along with general marketing functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates coordination of all onsite/offsite promotions and events.
- Coordinates with offsite event representatives; arranges site walk-through and venue planning details.
- Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and completion of each offsite job folder and follows the 'Event Checklist'
- Requisitions and coordinates the delivery of event materials (i.e., tables, chairs, signage, food, promo items, decorations, etc.) and ensure that each event is setup according to specification.
- Assists the Events and Promotions Manager in establishing contacts in the marketplace.
- Assists in preparation of cost estimates for related marketing, advertising and event costs.
- Performs public relations duties on the casino floor (i.e. meets and takes photos of winners) and at off-site events (i.e. greets visitors and photographs event).
- Works closely with warehouse department and other departments to ensure all materials are ready for each event/promotion.
- Assists in performing research and preparation of proposals for special events.
- Provides Marketing staff with updates and details regarding each event.
- Coordinates and works with all departments to set up promotions (i.e. Food & Beverage, Slots, Table Games, etc.).
- Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. Philosophy.
- Commits to the TeamO.C.K. 'Leadership Pledge' and 'Core Leadership Qualities'.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job
- Adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.
- Attends all required meetings and training.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned

No supervisory responsibilities for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in Event Planning, Marketing and/or Advertising/Promotions required.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet or exceed established timelines.
- Must have excellent PC skills (MS-Windows, MS-Office Suite, and database applications).
- Must be a self-starter and take initiative to follow through on all projects.
- Must possess strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to all matters pertaining to the gaming enterprise business.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales or closely related field preferred.

- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to respond to visual and audio cues.
- Must be able to maneuver around all areas of the casino.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, twist and grip items.
